Pope Murray I

Pope Murray I

Brush your teeth, do your homework and say your prayers and you too could grow up to be pope one day (sorry, not you, girls)

Clinton Cleme: What Did We Do Before Xbox?

What was that dirty underwear/angle grinder game called again?

Though, maybe some of us wore clean underwear… Eat your heart out, Ryan Gosling.

Black Friday Meme: If It’s On Sale – Buy It!

Clinton knows how to roll with the Black Friday sales. He saw  the best old suitcase with a broken microscope and stick on dial thingies that he’d ever seen for such an awesome price. What’d he do? Obviously, he bought it!

ABNY Meme: Rule #34, In Effect

In the same way that not even light can escape a black hole, nothing escapes the vortex of Rule 34, not even us. (hat tip to Clinton).

Shawn Pitches Our NEW In-Development Project At Raindance Event

Shawn pitches 2 Guys Named Jose on Vimeo.

Clinton wasn’t the only rockstar last week – though he was the most charming. Shawn also pitched our upcoming project, now in development, 2 Guys Named Jose for the curious masses – and industry honchos – who turned out for the Raindance LIVE! AMMUNITION! pitch contest last week. It was a great opportunity to test the ground for the pitch and generate some early interest. We have been working hard on the script and the early stages of production development, including searching out graphic designers, co-production partners, an executive producer, etc.

If you’re interested and love the idea – Lord knows there’s not a lot of great gay-themed feature film comedies out there – then drop us a line and tell us how you’d like to be involved. Or watch this space for further developments (including a stand-alone 2 Guys website/blog).

Clinton Pitches ABNY At Raindance Live Ammunition Event

Our very own Clinton Lee Pontes, who plays Murray the drunken scientist in A Brand New You, pitched the hell out of ABNY at last night’s Raindance pitching contest. I won’t spoil the fun by telling you how awesome his pitch was, you can check it out yourself. I will only say that we made some awesome contacts with industry people who are interested in seeing a cut of the film and having a discussion about distribution and helping out with finishing funds.

Stay tuned tomorrow for video of ABNY co-director/writer Shawn Whitney pitching the next project in our pipeline.

We Pitch Raindance This Monday. Come Out & Hear About Our Next Film!

Never ones to rest on our laurels, even though we’ve got our film in the can, we’re still taking whatever opportunities come along to spread the word while we’re going through the post-production process. Well, this Monday there’s an opportunity with the Raindance Canada “LIVE! AMMUNITION! Pitching Contest”. It’s at Revival (783 College St West), starting at 6:00pm and running till 9:30pm. On behalf of Dangerous Dust Productions (that’s us!), Clinton Pontes will be pitching A Brand New You – after all we still need finishing funds and to build awareness of the film. Clinton, of course, played the charismatically vile Murray in ABNY. But, in addition to the ABNY pitch, we’ll also be pitching our next film – a gay-themed screwball comedy. We’ll be pitching in front of a live audience (barf) and a panel of judges, including indie producers Avi Federgreen, and Marc Sanders, as well as John Galway from the Harold Greenberg Fund and Stephanie McArthur from the Hot Docs Forum.

Want to see Clinton rock the house with his pants on for once? Want to find out more about our upcoming film? Well, come on out, show your support and be part of our debut. Hope to see you there!
